Niclas Grönholm and MRF Tyres finish fourth at Rally Kitee
The GRX Red Devil driver secured his joint-best result of the 2026 Finnish Rally Championship, finishing as the only MRF Tyres-equipped car inside the top five.
Niclas Grönholm and MRF Tyres completed Rally Kitee with a strong fourth place overall, equalling their best result of the 2026 Finnish Rally Championship and confirming the competitiveness of the package on the demanding Finnish gravel stages.
Together with co-driver Samu Vaaleri in the GRX Red Devil Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, Grönholm delivered a consistent performance across the 95.54 competitive kilometres, completing the event without issues and securing 12 valuable championship points. This result moves Grönholm up to sixth in the Finnish Rally Championship standings with 41 points, reducing the gap to fifth place to eight points with one round remaining.
Significantly, Grönholm was the only MRF Tyres-equipped driver among the top five finishers, providing another positive indication of the development and performance achieved throughout the 2026 Finnish Rally Championship campaign.

Rally Kitee marked the penultimate round of the seven-event Finnish Rally Championship and provided another important opportunity for MRF Tyres to collect data and further develop its gravel tyre range in one of the world’s most demanding rally environments. The 2026 Finnish Rally Championship will conclude with Rally Porvoo on September 25-26, where Grönholm and MRF Tyres will target another strong result and the opportunity to further improve their final championship position.
