ENGLISH VERSION:

Please introduce yourself with few words. What are the main facts you want people to know about you?

I am Nikolay Gryazin, 20 years old. This is my 4th year in the rally world. This became my profession as i dedicate all my time to it. My main goal is to be faster and better all the time. Beside rally I love drifting and engineering.

How did you fall in love with rally?

My father and my brother were involved way before me in rally. I personally started with circuit racing. And one day my father managed to convince me to try participating in a rally. At first I was very scared and did not understand why I was doing this. But after a while it got hooked and started kicking in the feeling that the driving a rally car can give you. I drive to the extreme ever since here.

There are two more rounds in ERC Junior 28, and the competition is still absolutely open in terms of who can win it. How do you see your chances to win?

I believe that we will be able to compete for the victory in U28. I think that it will be very difficult, but we will
work on it 100 percent.

Which race cars have given you the most pleasure to drive in your carreer?

So far my favourite car was Porsche 911. Crazy car, great feeling. You have been working succesfully with your codriver Yaroslav Fedorov since many years.

Can you say few words about your relationship with him?

With Yaroslav we are good friends. Despite the age difference, he understands me and I am very comfortable with him in the race car and even in private life. As we live quite far from each other on the race we always have something to talk about and laugh.

You came from North Europe home of fast gravel rallies. So far you showed your pace also in tarmac. What do you think how much the mid or south european tarmac rallies could teach you compare to your home rallies to be an even better driver?

There is no asphalt rally in my country at all. That’s the main reason we race in Italy, where the level of drivers is extremely high and professional. Thanks to this, I began to progress on the asphalt. But this is not the limit, there is still a lot of work ahead. In the European Rally Championship 2018 there are still two left, with open fight for
the third absolute position and for the first of ERC J28.

At least on paper they seem to be very suitable for you (especially the Liepaja you won in 2017), what are your expectations?

We expect to win the U28 championship. And after will see what will turn out in the overall result. The main task is not to make foolish mistakes and achieve a better result. In the last few years we have seen you participating in many italian tarmac races, just like Targa Florio, Sanremo, Ciocco and so on… What is your oppinion about our country’s roads, special stages and rallies?
The special stages are very difficult In Italy. They are dangerous and technical. Competitors are strong, so to be fast, you have to work very hard. Each race has its individual charasteristics. There are both wide roads and narrow ones. Both bumpy and smooth. But most of the time the roads are twisty and tricky.

You need to learn to drive smart not just fast. Sport Racing Technology is giving you the technical backround since many racing seasons and you won many rallies together. Can you please say few words about the collaboration with them?

The team is the best of all I know. There are real professionals working there. And every employee wants the best result. This gives motivation when the team not only serves you at the top level, but also they are your friends who support you in the fun and difficult moments as well.

How was the transition (or the road) from Peugeot 208 R2B ad una Skoda Fabia R5?

Skoda feels heavier than Peugeot, but driving is more comfortable. At first time it was difficult to understand how to brake from high speed. But after some couple of races it became better and better. So it was not really a big problem.

This year you have started collaboration with italian Movisport. Can you please describe with few words this
partnership?

With Movisport we just started our collaboration. But I really like these guys. I like their approach And I’m very glad that they support our program and believe in us!

What are your dreams and expectations from the future?

I want to be a world champion and always want to progress. This way is not easy, but we are doing everything to achieve the goal.
